I would like to tell you a little about myself and why this book is different from other ADD Reference books. I will start off by telling you I am not a Doctor, or a psychiatrist, nor have I written this book on behalf of either. Quite simply I am a mother of an 11 year old son with ADD diagnosed and medicated since the age of 5; I myself was diagnosed with ADD when I was 22. I struggled all through school, and grew up entering the work force going from one disappointing job to another, all the while with the idea of myself as stupid, unmotivated, lazy. That is until I was diagnosed with ADD
I am the Author of a new youth fiction book, ‘Nytstars’ which is the first in the series of 9, a volunteer for the Alexandra writing society, member of the Calgary writing group. I also run the writing group, Pen to Paper. Writing is my passion, being able to help others through writing makes it all feel worth while.
